In the room dedicated to evacuation, you will find, among other things, a family with their belongings traveling by sled and a little girl’s backpack containing a doll. Evacuees were allowed to take only as much as they could carry.

Children can explore Winter War-era objects using a photo scavenger hunt sheet. Suitable even for children who cannot read.
For the youngest visitors, the museum offers a toy box and strollers.
School-aged children can browse Karoliina Suoniemi’s book Paperinarukengät: Lapset sota-ajan Suomessa in the reference library.
